How the LQK Parents portal and app look after your family’s details. Last updated 24 September 2026.

Who we are

Little Quran Kids runs Quran classes for children in Singapore. This policy covers the parent portal at parents.littlequrankids.sg and the LQK Parents app for iPhone and Android, which shows the same portal. Questions go to admin@littlequrankids.sg.

What we keep

  • About you: your name, email address and mobile number. You sign in with a code we email you — there is no password, and the code is stored only in scrambled form and expires after ten minutes.
  • About your children: name, date of birth, boy or girl, school, any allergies or medical notes you tell us, an emergency contact, whether you agree to photos being taken in class, their class and LQK student number, and notes from their teachers such as attendance and progress.
  • Photos you choose to add: a profile picture for a child, and photobooth portraits if you use the photobooth.
  • Money: your invoices and what has been paid. Card details go straight to our payment provider (Stripe or HitPay) — we never see or store a card number.
  • Messages: a record of the reminders and notices we send you by WhatsApp or email, and whether they were delivered.
  • One sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.

We do not collect NRIC or birth-certificate numbers. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we use it for

Running your children’s classes: registration, timetables, teachers’ notes, fees, receipts and reminders, and getting in touch with you or your emergency contact.

Who else handles it

Only the services we need to run the portal, and only what each one needs:

  • Railway, which runs our servers and stores the portal's database.
  • Our email provider (Resend or Google Workspace), to deliver sign-in codes and notices.
  • WATI or Twilio, to send class and fee messages on WhatsApp.
  • Stripe or HitPay, to take payments.
  • Google (Gemini): Abbas, the mascot on the Home screen, greets your child by first name, and that sentence is turned into speech by Google. If — and only if — you switch on the photobooth, the photo you take is sent to Google to paint the portrait; the photobooth asks you first.
  • Prayer times: if you pick “use my location”, your approximate position is sent to the Aladhan prayer-times service to work out the times. We do not store it. The Qibla direction is worked out on your phone.
  • Quran.com and YouTube supply the Quran text, recitations and videos. Like any website, they can see your device's internet address when your phone fetches them.

On your phone

The app asks for the camera only when you open the Qibla camera view or take a photo, and for your location only for prayer times or the Qibla direction. The Qibla camera picture stays on your phone. You can turn either off in your phone’s settings at any time.

How long we keep it

While your children are with us. Two years after a child withdraws, their record is made anonymous. Invoices are kept as long as the law requires for accounting. Photobooth portraits stay until you delete them.

Your choices

  • Download everything we hold about your family: Profile → Download my data.
  • Ask us to delete your account and data: Profile → Withdraw and delete our data. The office completes it, keeping only the invoices the law requires.
  • Turn the photobooth off: at the bottom of the photobooth page.
  • Correct anything, or ask anything: email admin@littlequrankids.sg.

Children

The portal and app are for parents. Children do not have accounts or sign in; what we hold about them is what their parent gives us and what their teachers record.
